The Case Count Will Update With ISDH Updates. Last Update Was April 3 at 10:21 a.m.

The Indiana State Department of Health confirmed Friday that 102 people in the state have died as a result of COVID-19 -- up from 78 on Thursday. The agency also added 408 positive cases of the disease, moving the state's total to 3,437. So far, 17,835 tests have been reported to the ISDH.

Marion County had the newest cases, at 126. Other counties Indianapolis News  with more than 10 new cases were Allen (12), Decatur (11), Hamilton (14), Hendricks (23), Johnson (10), Lake (28), Lawrence (10), Porter (10) and Vanderburgh (10).

Gov. Eric Holcomb's "Stay-at-Home" order is now in effect. You should only venture out for things that are essential to the health and safety of you, your family members and others in your household. Here are some examples:


Getting medical supplies or medication
Visiting a health care professional
Going to the grocery store
Delivering food, groceries or cleaning products to members of your family
Caring for a family member or pet in another household.
Going outside for exercise (while maintaining social distancing)
Health officials enourage anyone with symptoms to call the ISDH Epidemiology Resource Center at 317-233-7125 (or 317-233-1325 after hours) or e-mail epiresource@isdh.in.gov. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath.
